Short Hair / Weaving Method |
Foil hair as short as 1-inch when you take advantage of the ZipA foil built-in weaving edge. Great for hairlines, nape of the neck areas and fine flyaway hair textures. The GripA hair grip will greatly improve your ease of use and outcome. Dry, tangle free hair conditions work best with long hair.
 | Step 1 Create a part and section off the hair with a GripA hair grip. Place the zig-zag edge of the ZipA foil on the part, paper side up. Slide the foil down to the lower side of the part so that hair is slightly viewed in the channels of the zig-zag edge. Using your fingers, press and hold the ZipA foil zig-zag edge to stabilize. |
 | Step 2 Using a pin-tail comb, skip the first notch in the zig-zag edge and begin selecting hair in a thin weave or slice pattern. Draw hairs from under the ZipA foil onto the paper surface. Select only the top layers of hair viewed within the zig-zag edge. |
 | Step 3 Grasp both sides of the ZipA foil and gently wiggle it up over the exposed hairline to the red line. Press across the zig-zag edge with your fingers. This will create a hooked connection to your selected hairs. Final adjustment may be made to insure a close fit. Apply your color solution, fold and process as shown in the Traditional Method. |
